The Anderson Language Technology Center (ALTEC) supports language learning for language students at the University of Colorado.
At ALTEC, students can improve their language skills by watching foreign films, listening to practice recordings, and more.
The ALTEC facilities include computers for foreign language students to write in their language, multi-media classrooms with state of the art equipment, and a library of over 3000 films from around the world.
For French and Italian faculty, instructors and TAs/GPTIs, ALTEC also offers workshops through the Foreign Language Technology Program https://altec.colorado.edu/fltp/index.shtml. The FLTP workshops provide CU language teachers with hands-on practice as well as pedagogical theory in the use of technology in the language classroom. This semester’s workshop calendar is available here https://altec.colorado.edu/cgi-bin/fltp/myfltp.cgi/calendar.html.
