FREN 1010 (Hybrid – 1/2 online, 1/2 in class) June 3-August 9, 2013.  Have you ever wished you could speak French fluently, maybe even live or study in a French speaking country? Perhaps you have but then you just could not find time to fit a beginning language class into your already tight schedule. If so, then you should consider taking the new hybrid French course to be offered for the first time this summer. Come and experience all the fun and enchantment of a FREN 1010 that meets in a classroom just three times each week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Then, you will complete the rest of the course requirements on line. Enrollment is limited so sign up soon.  A bientot!

FREN 1010 (Online) June 3-August 9, 2013.  Are you planning to be away from Boulder this summer or do you just prefer online learning? Consider enrolling in the completely online FREN 1010 class being offered this summer through the Office of Continuing Education. You will get all the same content as in the hybrid and traditional FREN 1010 but the communicative activities will be conducted on line along with course tutorials, practice and assessment. Enrollment for the full online FREN 1010 is also limited, so sign up soon. Merci!

ITAL 1010 (hybrid, 1/2 in class, 1/2  online) – 6/3-8/9/2013 – Learn Italian with the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing progressively developed in a new format of 1/2 online and 1/2 in class.  Cultural focus is on the personal world and the life of students.

ITAL 4350 The Italian American Experience, from wops to dons to movers and shakers.  Exposes students to the history of Italian immigration to the United States. By studying how Italians and Americans negotiated different ideas concerning identity, traditions and community, it helps students understand how Italians transformed themselves from a despised and marginalized minority into active participants in the success of the United States in the 20th and 21st centuries.
